Soundbrenner Wave Pro has received an independent review from professional audio, one of Germany's established specialist publications for recording, mixing and producing. In its 04/2026 headphone special, the magazine tested Wave Pro alongside products from some of the most respected names in pro audio and awarded it a good-to-very-good overall rating in the upper-class category.

The review matters because Wave Pro pushed us deeper into professional audio than anything we have built before: fit, isolation, monitoring, sound, cables, accessories and the whole real-world musician workflow.

Reviewed by a serious pro-audio voice

The review was written by Harald Wittig, a long-time professional audio reviewer whose background includes years as a lead editor at professional audio and extensive work across technical journalism, music and audiophile recording. That matters. Wave Pro was not treated as a lifestyle earbud or casual listening gadget. It was tested as a professional monitoring tool for musicians and audio work.

The 04/2026 issue tested Wave Pro in a serious headphone and in-ear monitor context. That is exactly where it belongs. Wave Pro was not built as a beginner accessory or a lifestyle earbud. It was built to raise the standard for professional in-ear monitoring: stronger isolation, a more complete fit system, serious driver architecture and a package that is ready for real stage use.

What the review highlighted

The review paid close attention to the complete system around Wave Pro, not only the driver count. It covered the hybrid quad-driver architecture, the accessory package, the 18 included ear tips, the detachable two-pin cable, the optional USB-C DAC and the carrying case.

Several points stood out positively in the review:

  • Clear and present sound
  • Very good spatial presentation and impulse response
  • Very good bass reproduction
  • Strong isolation for stage monitoring
  • Excellent accessory package
  • Very good build quality

The review also noted one caveat: the highs were judged as more forward than ideal for strict studio neutrality. That is useful feedback, and it matches the way we think about Wave Pro ourselves. Wave Pro is designed first for musicians who need clarity, separation and confidence in loud real-world environments. It can support studio work, but its main job is helping performers hear what matters when the room, the band and the stage are all working against them.

A milestone for Soundbrenner

For Soundbrenner, this is bigger than a review score. Wave Pro is by far the most successful product in our history, and it proves that we can build serious audio tools for working musicians. To see professional audio recognize the build, accessories, bass response, spatial presentation and stage usefulness of Wave Pro is a proud moment for our whole team.

Florian Simmendinger, Founder & CEO of Soundbrenner

Wave Pro represents the direction Soundbrenner is moving in: musician-first products that solve real performance problems and can stand in serious professional audio conversations. We started by helping musicians feel time. With Wave Pro, we are helping musicians hear themselves with more confidence, more isolation and more control.

Why it matters for musicians

Good in-ear monitoring is not only about specs. It is about fit, isolation, confidence and repeatability. Musicians need to hear pitch, timing, dynamics and space without turning the mix into a volume contest. That is why the details professional audio focused on, from the ear-tip selection to the cable and isolation, matter so much.

Wave Pro was created for that exact use case: rehearsals, stages, practice rooms, recording sessions and everyday musician workflows. The professional audio review is a welcome external confirmation that this direction is worth pursuing.
