A year-end letter from Soundbrenner 2022

Taking a look back at 2022...

This year, our app and wearables were used in over 12 million music sessions, totaling over 5 million hours of practice. Converted into years, that's over 600 years' worth of music created with our products! 🥰

When we started Soundbrenner a few years ago, we could only dream of bringing so much musicality to the world. Making music is a superpower, and helping so many people obtain and refine this superpower is the opportunity of my lifetime! We can't thank you all enough.

Here are just a couple of excerpts of what's new!

iOS

This year, we aimed to help you build a practice habit and make each session more rewarding:

Practice reminders: In Settings → App settings → App notifications, you can now create recurring practice reminders and set up motivational messages to hold you accountable!

Practice tracking: Keep track of how many hours you practice each week and set practice goals. Can you maintain your practice streak?

Brag with your musical accomplishments: Automatically generate a shareable image of your latest music session or your current practice streak.

Android

This year, we successfully rebuilt our in-house Android team, allowing us to give our Android users some well-deserved attention and catch up with iOS!

Metronome library updates: Enjoy song and set list sharing! You can now export and import across platforms between iOS and Android devices.

Soundbrenner Learn: Master your rhythm with videos created by world-class instructors.

New color scheme and many polishes: We believe details matter, and this belief is finally reflected in our Android app. Expect many more improvements in the coming year!

Both iOS & Android

New modifier menu in the metronome: Set up incremental tempo changes (accelerando!), train with muted beats, and more!

New hardware

Genki Wave: We partnered with our friends from Genki to bring their Wave MIDI ring to soundbrenner.com. It allows you to add sound effects via hand gestures, opening up a whole world of creativity. Check it out here!

2022 Core Limited Edition: We released a highly limited edition of our bestselling Core in space cadet blue, featuring special engravings and many extra goodies. Sadly, it's already sold out, but stay tuned for more in 2023!

Smartphone studio mic: We are dedicated to removing barriers to your musicality. With this new microphone launched in 2022, you can record high-quality audio on any device, including your smartphone. It's perfect for creating content to upload on social media! Learn more about it here!
