Short answer: Soundbrenner Wave Pro can be used with a microphone, but the mic is not built into the standard cable. If voice chat, calls, Discord, lessons, or streaming matter to you, plan for the sold-separately Wave Pro microphone cable.
If you only need Wave Pro for monitoring, rehearsal, recording, or stage use, the standard 3.5mm cable is the cleaner setup. The mic cable is useful when other people need to hear you, not when you simply need to hear the mix.
What is included by default?
The standard Wave Pro package is built around wired listening and monitoring. The current product page lists the IEMs, detachable 3.5mm cable, ear tips, carrying case, and 1/4-inch adapter. It does not position the microphone as part of the default cable.

Who needs the mic cable?
- Gamers: you need voice chat and team comms without switching back to a bulky headset.
- Remote lesson or call users: you want one wired setup for listening and speaking.
- Musicians using Wave Pro away from the stage: you want the IEMs for monitoring but also need quick voice capture on a computer or phone.
Who should skip the mic cable?
- Live performers: a separate talkback or vocal mic through the mixer is usually more reliable than a cable mic.
- Home studio users with a desk mic: a dedicated microphone normally gives better placement and level control.
- Players who only need monitoring: fewer parts means faster setup and fewer things to troubleshoot.

- Decide whether you need voice capture or only monitoring.
- Check the exact product page and cart contents before checkout.
- If voice matters, look for the microphone cable or gamer configuration.
- Confirm your device input: controller, laptop, phone, interface, or mixer.
