Core 2: Firmware and App March 2020 Update

We’re excited to announce the first software and firmware update for the Soundbrenner Core 2. Our engineers have been hard at work to enhance your experience.

Here are things you don't want to miss out on:

New

• New language selection menu for the Core 2. It will automatically change its language to match your phone’s language when unlocked.
• Added the ability to toggle the Core 2's time format from 12-hour to 24-hour.
• You can now use our app to update the firmware of your Core 2, available in the device settings after March 11th.

Fixed

• We fixed a bug where toggling a switch in the Core 2's settings caused other unrelated switches to toggle on or off.
• No more background disconnection bugs for both the Core 2 and the Pulse.
• We resolved several crash-related bugs, making the app more reliable.

Core 2 iOS update:

New

• FAQ videos for the Core 2 are now available in the app!

Fixed

Firmware:

New

• Added support for an additional 11 languages. This can be changed in the settings via the Soundbrenner app.
• New text scrolling feature allows texts that didn’t previously fit on the screen to scroll automatically.
• Push notification support for iOS devices (beta for iOS).
• The new low-battery watch face ensures that when the battery runs out, you can still see the time until the next recharge.

Updated

• We updated the value editing interface with a new design that makes it easier to use and understand. The system now highlights values such as BPM, hours, subdivisions, etc., with a white rectangular box when editing.
• The user interface of the decibel meter has been enhanced to display “<70 dB” for levels below 70 dB. The Core 2’s dB meter is specifically designed for musicians and calibrated to work accurately at dB levels above 70.
• Updated the tuner’s underlying algorithm to improve note detection for E and A notes.

Fixed

• Certain typos have been corrected.
• We’ve resolved several other bugs that were causing crashes, improving your overall experience.
