Omnicharge Omni 20+ Review

Omnicharge Omni 20+ Review
Omnicharge Omni 20+

If your guitar pedal board has ever run out of battery during a gig, or you’ve ever wanted to go busking on the street but didn’t have the equipment, you know how frustrating it is to not have a power outlet when you need it the most. Our friends at Omnicharge recently sent us their Omni 20+ power bank to test out, and we’ve absolutely loved it. For musicians who need portable power on the go, this is the solution for you.

About Omnicharge Omni 20+

The Omnicharge Omni 20+ is an intelligent portable power bank with a capacity of 20,000 mAH that is capable of charging a wide range of consumer electronics. Besides standard USB connectivity, it also comes with a 120V/230V AC outlet (depending on your region/version), a DC input/output, and even built-in wireless charging. This makes the Omni 20+ one of the most feature-rich and flexible power banks on the market today — perfect for the tech-savvy musician.

Omnicharge Omni 20+ Ports

The Omni 20+ is capable of charging a variety of electronic music gear, from keyboards to electric drum kits to DJ equipment and more.

NOTE: some guitar amplifiers may not work with the Omni 20+ depending on their power requirements, so please check your amp’s specifications to make sure that the required wattage does not exceed the output of your Omnicharge power bank.

Omnicharge claims that its power bank can easily power each of the below devices for a minimum of 5 hours, and based on our own testing, we can confirm that this is accurate. The Omni 20+ had no problems powering our digital keyboard, drum kit and other office gear for hours on end. However, it was unable to power our Marshall Bluetooth speaker, which requires 250W of power. Therefore, we highly recommend verifying that your instrument or equipment is supported before purchasing an Omnicharge device.

More about Omnicharge

Omnicharge officially supports the following devices:

For those who require even more power, Omnicharge offers a larger power bank, the Omni Ultimate, which has a capacity of 38,400 mAH. The Omni Ultimate also comes with a swappable battery (but no wireless charging). We would personally recommend the regular Omni 20+, as it is much lighter and easier to carry around. Additionally, despite the Omni Ultimate's extra capacity, it is still not able to power many guitar amplifiers on the market due to its insufficient wattage.

Omnicharge's new power banks are an excellent way to ensure that your power needs are met on the go. If you are a busker, gigging keyboardist/drummer or anyone who uses a lot of portable devices on the go, we would not hesitate to recommend this device to you.
